I have been working as a self employed bookkeeper in Poole, Dorset for over 5 years. I am flexible and able to work at your premises, or if you prefer, I can take work away to be dealt with at my home office. With the help of remote access software I can easily dial in to your computers to update your records on your system.
Whether you prefer a manual or computerised system, I can meet your requirements. I am fully conversant with all versions of SAGE and QuickBooks.
• IAB Level 3 Certificate in Computerised Payroll
• IAB Level 3 Diploma in Computerised Bookkeeping
• OCR Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping and Accounts
• OCR Level 1 certificate in Bookkeeping
• Advanced modern apprenticeship in Business Administration
Every business is different whether you are a sole trader or limited company, whether you are big or small, I will work with you to identify your specific needs. I can deal with all aspects of your sales and purchase ledger, creating and posting sales invoices, coding and posting supplier invoices, posting sales receipts, customer payments and supplier payments and reconciling your bank accounts. I can produce reports to keep track of what your customers owe you and what you owe your suppliers so that I can help you manage your cash flow.
Here is what one of my long standing customers, Hamworthy Body Shop, has to say about my weekly bookkeeping services:
“Sarah has been looking after our books for more than
12 years. She visits us on a weekly basis and processes
the supplier invoices, reconciles the bank and gives us a run through of our cash flow so that we can decide who
to pay and what we are owed. She effortlessly deals with the quarterly VAT returns and all aspects of our payroll. She is an asset to our business and a joy to work with
and keeps everything running smoothly. We would be
lost without her.”
Richard, Hamworthy Body Shop
After processing all your invoices and banking transactions I can produce monthly accounts so that you can keep track of your business. Using a nominal ledger I can easily see where money is being spent so that if changes need to be made within your business these can easily be addressed. If the day to day transactions have been posted accurately I can produce the VAT returns promptly so that you know how much is owed and there are no shocks at the end of the quarter. I can then submit these online for you so that your accounts are always up to date.
Here is what one of my customers, Promech, has to say about my monthly and quarterly bookkeeping services:
“Sarah has been my bookkeeper for the last 4 years, she visits us twice a week and keeps me on my toes and makes sure that my accounts are kept up to date. I have to admit when she started my accounts were in quite a state and as I could only afford 12 hours per week she quickly worked out what to focus on to get my accounts in order. As my main customer is Bournemouth council and they have quite specific needs Sarah liaised with the council on my behalf and worked along side them to make sure the accounts were in line as they have their invoices split into departments but they pay as a lump sum. This had been quite tricky to deal with but Sarah worked out a system to make things run more smoothly and we haven't looked back.”
Whether your accounts have been produced on a weekly, monthly or quarterly basis and, depending on the size of your business, with me your accounts will always be up to date so producing your end of year accounts should be straightforward.
Once I have discussed with you any final queries I will produce your year end accounts as soon as possible. If you are a sole trader or partnership I can file these online with HMRC for you. Or if you are a limited company the end of year accounts can be posted to your accountants so that they can carry out their part and pass on to the HMRC.
Or if you are very small and would like to just hand me over a shoe box of receipts, I can turn this into a set of meaningful accounts on a annual basis.
Here is what one of my customers, Parkstone Sand & Gravel, has to say about my annual bookkeeping services:
“Best kept books looked after my end of year accounts effortlessly. Sarah compiled a meaningful set of accounts with the receipts I gave her and submitted my self assessment for me. I will certainly be using her bookkeeping services again next year.”
Steve, Parkstone Sand & Gravel
I can run the wages on a weekly or monthly basis and produce pay slips that can be printed or emailed. I am competent in dealing with other aspects of wages should they occur, for example sick pay, maternity leave, holiday entitlement etc and if an employee was due to leave I can produce and submit P45s. I can also pay your employees and HMRC tax and NI on your behalf by BACS or I can email the payslips and P32 to you for you to pay your employees and HMRC. With Sage Payroll and QuickBooks Payroll I can set up a link from the payroll software to the accounts package to process the journals as the wages are run to keep your accounts up to date. Or if you use a separate payroll software I can post these journals manually. At the end of the year I can run the end of year and produce the P35/P60s and submit these to HMRC on your behalf.
